Something "postable"....

Finally...

Sold the Buick a while back... we didn't steal a Bonneville, just the Buick's replacement, if you were wondering. Joel put it up on craigslist, got an email that night, and sold it the next morning. Sold to a guy who owns a junkyard, but better than nothing. (Sorry for the Bberry photo...)

These two are from the long weekend spent at Mom and Dad's when Joel put a floor in for them.. We took the cube truck out there.. Our shoulders is one of Turbs' favorite riding spots in a vehicle. My favorite riding spot was the cabin behind the seats. ;)

This was the other night... she only sat still enough for this shot. Absolutely cute. :)

Before today's haircut.... (I love her hair this way... however, I don't love "dingleberries," so the hair had to go.)

After the haircut. I always forget how long and tall she is. :)

In other news, we got the letter from the insurance company today about the big helicopter claim dispute. Big surprise, "our claim was processed correctly the first time." In fact, they said they even over paid the provider by over $2600.00, but they weren't going to re-claim the funds because then our responsibility would go up. Gee, thanks, you're throwing in $2600 extra on an almost $27,000 claim? How thoughtful. They also "sympathize with us and understand our frustration." Ooo. Just got warm fuzzies. However, it's out of their control because they "tried to contact the provider, but received no response," and it was processed according to our benefit plan/policy. I'm overwhelmed with their generosity.

Looks like we attack the helicopter company next. Or just give them $20/mo for the next 87 years. (Heh. 87.)

Joel brought some wood home from work... maybe we'll be getting new floors in our kitchen/hallway? :) That's the only part on the main floor besides the bathroom that's not wood.

I also have a flash that's supposed to be arriving today with some other accessories.. can't wait to experiment and get practiced up with that!

Turbs.

This is from a few months back (Jan/Feb)... but I think it's hilarious. :)

Stinker.

This is her typical stance as I'm wandering around the house shooting with abandon at the various tulips.

Of course, she had just been yelled at for eating a rabbit turd. Hence, the defiant look.

Sigh. That's our dog.

PS. I don't normally make a habit of backlighting with the sun... (ouch, that highlight on her tail hurts!) but this was more of a snapshot, anyway. :)

Completely unrelated to the great photo session I had today because that was absolutely great!

But.
I'm really, really in need of a morale boost.

Any suggestions?

About the job.

I guess that didn't make very much sense in the last post.

Yes. I am not working at the bank anymore. No. It was not my decision, which I'm very disappointed about.

I'm not sure if I'm going to get another part-time job as I'm starting up my business, or just dive head first in and hope that we'll find a way to still buy groceries, fix our crappy vehicles, and keep living in our small plexer until a year or two of business goes by.

Do any of you wisdom-ous people have any thoughts for me?

A little change.

Hey, when was the last time I blogged? I guess you can look for a bit more of that now.

A bit of a lifestyle change... and I'll be focusing completely on my photography in the future. 100%. Full time.

So what does this mean? It means all you wonderful people have awesome referral opportunities for all the little minions you share your life with! And keep close watch in the future if you have engaged friends, there might be a crazy referral program coming up.

It also means that I've been doing quite a bit more photography "stuff" already, especially in the last week, so if you aren't already a follower (but hey, why wouldn't you be? :D), head over to my photo blog, or better yet, hit up my facebook page, and see all the sweet stuff you're missing!

----

Oh. So enough for my photography plug.

Life's been pretty good, except for the whole job thing. But I think it's a good thing. We've had special meeting company (really enjoyed that), and my post-operation checkup today went really well.

My class has been going well, but very busy as we're getting into the financials and accounting part of things. Too bad I'm not quite up to speed with some of the past homework, but heeey, more time for that now too!

We were in Iowa last weekend... Joel put a floor in Mom and Dad's laundry room (yes, the least-seen room in the house, but we've exhausted that discussion already), so it was great to catch a long weekend!

Caught up with my soon-to-be-married friend from HS (who, if you're reading, I'm totally pumped to shoot your wedding!), did a photo session with my little younger brother (he's taller than me) that included exploring a run-down, slightly creepy old school, and spent a whole afternoon in Sioux City with Mom looking for laundry room decor and photography props/materials.

I also did a photo shoot with Turbo, as I realized that I never post the millions of pictures that I take of her.. she's now going to be my new favorite subject!

My older brother and girlfriend were home for the weekend too, so it was great to be with the whole family again!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter!

PS. Snow? Really?
